Barcodes

Barcodes are machine-readable representations of data in a visual format. They consist of parallel lines, bars, or dots that vary in width and spacing. These patterns encode information such as product numbers, serial numbers, or other data related to the item to which the barcode is attached. Barcodes are scanned using optical scanners, which interpret the pattern and decode the information encoded within the barcode. They are widely used in various industries for inventory management, retail sales, logistics, and tracking purposes, providing a fast and accurate means of data capture and entry. Common types of barcodes include UPC (Universal Product Code), EAN (European Article Number), Code 39, and QR codes.
